Due to rising gas prices republican lawmakers misleading claims that pinned the blame on president biden and his energy policies.
As a response to russian invasion to Ukraine president biden ban on importing Russian oil, gas and coal. He warned it would cause rise gas price further.
Republican lawmakers said that the price hike of gas was the result of the cancellation of the keystone XL pipeline. They also said that it is the result of surrendering of energy independence. These are incorrect assertions.
Former vice president mike pence said that during trump-pence administration we achived energy independence for the first time in seventy years. Moreover he said that the cancelletion of keystone pipeline is one of the reason of rising gas price.
