Harry Belafonte, the banana boat singer has died aged 96

 Harry Belafonte, the singer has died at the age 96. He was also an actor and civil rights activists. Moreover, the racial barrier has broke down by him.

Belafonte was famous for his banana boat song. Moreover, he won Tony award for acting and he was appears in various features film.

In 1960s he takes initiative to bring civil rights to black americans. He also fight against poverty, aids in Africa through campaign.

Belafonte was died because of heart failure.  Dr Martin Luther King's daughter Bernice King shared a picture of Belafonte. The picture was the funeral of her father.

He was born in 1927. He spent his childhood with his native Jamaican parents. For study perpose he returned to New york and admitted to high school. But he was dropped out due to dyslexia in teen age.

At the age of 17 he joined to US navy in 1944. When the war is ended he wanted to be an actor and joined to NewYork's American Negro Theatre. He sung folk, pop and jazz there along with acting.

Belafonte released his first album in 1954. It was folk songs album. His second album 'Belafonte' was the number 1 in US billboard chart album.

His third album 'Calyspo' was contained jamaican heritage song. The lead track day-O (banana boat song). It is the signature song of Belafonte. This album was sold more than million copies. In UK single chart, this banana boat song spent 18 weeks.

 The famous X-Files began at September 10 1993. It was a very popular tv series. Gillian Anderson and David Ducovney wanted to start two new seasons in 2016. But the network and series stars said that new season won't be started. Lets have a look 10 unknown facts of X-Files like these.

1. Scully was partly modeld on Clarice Starling.

The X-Files had influence of the oscar winning movie 'The Silence of The Lambs' of Jonathan Demmy. So Dana Scully's red hair is not a mistake as like as Clarice Starling in the above mentiond oscar winning movie.

2. Camio was made by Jodie Foster

The voice of betty was provided by Jodi Foster. It was in the fourth season. Jodie Foster was the Oscar winner in 1992 for her role as Clarice Starling.

3. Entertainment Weekly declared this show wouldn't last.

Entertainment weekly pronounced that this series is a gonner. They said Friday night time slot and its genre indicate that it won't last. But the truth is it is one of the longest running series of television history.

4. A number of scientist was employed by the show.

As consultant the producer hired some scientists to make sure the science is right of the show. Anne Simon, the microbiologist of University of Maryland was hired in the first season.

5. Jennifer Beals was pushed by David Duchovny to play the role of Scully


David Duchovny and Jennifer met when they attend Yale. Jennifer said that I saw David very often on the street and David tried to pick me up. We became very good friend. She also said that when David was doing the X-Files he talked to me to do that but I said that Gillian is better than me for that part.
