A 83 year old woman named Hervey mercelin charged with murder because a dismembered head was found in her brooklyn apartment. the dismember head was found in a shopping cart.
She was charged with two women murder on Thursday after the dismembered head was found of women she lived with.
Hervey Mercelin was in prison for decades for murder and manslaughter and she was released in 2019. she was arrested in march 4. Initially the charge against her is concealment of human remains.
Earlier Hervey mercelin was listed as a male but now she is identified as female. She is accused of second degree murder charges in the death of Susan Leyden, 68. The charge against her is dismembering Susan Leyden and hiding her body part.
In March 3, a 911 caller inform police after founding Susan Leyden dismembering body in a shopping cart beside a pawnshop. Police arrived and found a torso inside a multicolor bag.
Police check the cc camera footage and saw that Susan Leyden enter into a building on February 27 with a same multicolor bag, but she doesn't leave. In that building Police check Hervey Mercelin's home and found dismembering head.
police check the past history of Hervey Mercelin and found she was in prison in connection with two homicides in 1963 and 1984.
